Pray Then Like This: Thy Will Be Done
If there is one word that describes what God’s will looks like in our lives, that word would be obedience. But we get nervous around that word, because we usually associate it with rule keeping and performance.

To Live Is Christ, To Die Is Gain

Pray Then Like This: Your Kingdom Come
To pray, ‘Your kingdom come,’ is a prayer of defiance against the kingdom followers of Jesus once belonged to, a prayer of allegiance to the King and kingdom followers of Jesus have been transferred to, and a prayer of longing for heaven to invade earth.

Pray Then Like This: Hallowed Be Thy Name
What does it mean to ‘hallow’ the name of God, and why do we struggle with it so much? There is something built into each one of us that is more driven towards making a name for ourselves rather than God. Praying as Jesus taught us to pray, ‘Hallowed be your name,’ helps reorient us to both God’s glory and priorities for our lives.

Pray Then Like This: Praying As Children
The first two words of the Lord's Prayer clearly establish the true identity of followers of Jesus; together, they are children of God. Praying like a child means coming to God as we are, with all of our fears, doubts, and insecurities.

Pray Then Like This: Introduction
Jesus never spoke about prayer as an optional activity for his followers. Rather, he took time to teach them how to pray. It’s for this reason that the Lord’s Prayer is perhaps better understood as The Disciple’s Prayer. This sermon is the first in a series on how Jesus taught us to pray.

A People of Grace
Who do we want to be as a church, and who does scripture say we are?

Miracles: The Ascension of Jesus
When Jesus ascended to heaven, his feet lifted off the very ground he had made. Fact or fable? Humility is key for our understanding.

Miracles: The Incarnation
There is one miracle that enables all other miracles Jesus performed; the incarnation.
Loving Jesus, Serving Others, & Leaving Well
Andrew & Taline Round have served faithfully at Grace City Church since joining our church family about five years ago. As God leads them back to British Columbia, there is much we can learn from them.

Miracles: Jesus Raises Lazarus to Life (Part II)
Jesus’s raising of Lazarus had a profound impact on John, the writer of the New Testament gospel that carries his own name. John, like Lazarus, knew what it was like to have a deep friendship with Jesus. Christians can often think of Jesus as Lord and Saviour, but he is also friend. The true story of Lazarus being raised shows us the compassion Jesus feels towards his friends who suffer as a result of living in a world broken by sin. And this story also shows us the power of Jesus to do something about it.

Miracles: Jesus Raises Lazarus to Life (Part I)
The name Lazarus is synonymous with resurrection, but there’s much more happening in this true story than a dead man being raised to life. Mary and Martha, the sisters of Lazarus, are presented as two women who trust Jesus, and Mary in particular is shown as one who has a profound appreciation and understanding of Jesus’s glory.
