Pray Then Like This: Thy Will Be Done

If there is one word that describes what God’s will looks like in our lives, that word would be obedience. But we get nervous around that word, because we usually associate it with rule keeping and performance. Things that tend to be at odds with grace. However, grace and obedience are not at odds with each other. God’s grace is empowering, helping us be obedient to the will of God. This means followers of Jesus can pray, ‘Your will be done,’ with both integrity and expectation that God will help.
