Is God Pro-Slavery?

The fact that the Bible gives clear instructions for the treatment of slaves is not the same thing as saying the Bible is arguing in favour of slavery. The gospel is a gospel of freedom, and the gospel also shows us how Jesus chose slavery to win our freedom.
